Is it possible that the universe began with no initial mass at all?

The materialist believes that everything which exist is particles, matter, atoms, electron, small billiard balls which interact with each other … and nothing else. They believe in a deterministic universe, where free will is a illusion, consciousness is only an epiphenomena of brain chemistry, nonlocality is a mathematical failure to explain physical reality because of missing variables, and then one day the universe will end in an entropic soup with no distinction, no life, no meaning.

How sad.

Their point of view is rather of a lower cognitive level (sorry, but it’s true), because they ignore simple facts:

In contrast the point of view of idealism[1] is different:

As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clearheaded science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about the atoms this much: There is no matter as such! All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. . . . We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Spirit. This Spirit is the matrix of all matter.

(Max Planck, The Nature of Matter, a 1944 speech in Florence, Italy[2])

Max Planck was the originator of quantum mechanics.[3] In contrast to Einstein he was not a “materialist[4]” regarding his point of view in science. He recognized that there is more than atoms. Indeed the pathological sign of a materialist can be recognized not by his science but if he or she practice scientism[5].

The problem in answering your question depends on a paradigm[6]. Materialists will answer you with explanation attempts which includes keywords like “singularity”, “big bang” and so on. But if you think about it, how can something derive from nothing[7], then this is no plausible explanation at all. It is indeed the avoidance of an problem of their own flawed paradigm (or axiom).

The mind of an creator generates time, space and matter as an abstraction of spiritual entities. Matter is not “full”, it is empty. Matter is not stable, it is fuzzy. Matter is able to interact, but it is not the absolute. Mental entities like numbers are real. Even a proton will decay[8], but mental constructs remains. Max Planck, Nicola Tesla and many other scientists believed in a creator, in God. They also believed that matter is a creation of an spiritual being, superior to humans, not attached to his creation like time or space. Now materialism is promoted[9] and it is only a “political thing[10]”. The motivation behind it is to promote and to sustain a world system which is based on materialism. This paradigm will be replaced soon.
